Student Ministry
Real teens doing life with Jesus — Sunday classes, discipleship groups, retreats, and mission trips.
About This Ministry
A Christ-centered community for teens navigating real life
Middle school and high school are some of the most formative years of a person’s life. At Fairfax Church of Christ, our Student Ministry exists to walk alongside teens as they figure out faith, identity, and purpose. We create spaces where students can be themselves, ask hard questions, and grow closer to Jesus.
From Sunday morning Bible class to Wednesday discipleship groups, weekend retreats, summer camp, and mission trips — there’s always something happening. Every activity is designed to build genuine friendships and a faith that lasts beyond graduation.
What to Expect
A typical week with Student Ministry

Join us for worship at 9:00 AM, then head to Bible class at 10:30 AM. Students meet in the Student Room for age-specific teaching and open discussion.

Discipleship groups meet 6:00–7:30 PM. Small groups of students dig deeper into Scripture, share what’s going on in their lives, and hold each other accountable.

From Our Families
“
Our son was drifting away from church. Jake and the other leaders didn’t give up on him — they showed up, texted him, invited him to everything. Now he’s leading a small group and talking about becoming a youth minister himself.

Common Questions
Students ask, we answer
Can’t find your answer here? Reach out to Jake directly — he’d love to connect.
Do I have to know the Bible to come?
Not at all. Students come from every background — some grew up in church, some are brand new. Everyone is welcome and no question is off limits.
What happens at Wednesday night groups?
Small discipleship groups of 3–4 students meet with an adult leader. You’ll talk about real life, study Scripture together, pray, and build accountability.
Are there trips and events outside of Sunday?
Yes! We do retreats, summer camp, game nights, service projects, and mission trips. There’s always something coming up — ask Jake or check our social media for the latest.
Can parents get involved?
Absolutely. We need adult volunteers, small group leaders, and chaperones for trips. If you love teens and want to invest in their faith, talk to Jake about how to serve.
